Retested. End redux, sprinting, and LongWind

Testing on a 50warden (including free tireless1), no +endurance gear (winged helm, etc).

Something has changed with the last patch (1.87), this data isn't accurate anymore. Not just the end regen while running, the actual end usage changed.

I only checked 41reg
LW1=benefit
LW2=waste, same as LW1
LW3=benefit
LW4=waste, same as LW3

According to your original test in Oct 2006, you couldn't permaspring with red end redux unless you had LW4.

The only changes that could/would have happened in 1.87 is that end regens at the sitting/standing rate while moving now. Not to mention the fact that I can permasprint with LWII no problem. Though I swear I could do this before 1.87 too.

All I checked this time (1.87) was putting my endredux buff up, turning on endo chant and sprinting against a wall.

Before 1.87
no longwing+red end redux=endo held at 97. Sprint had a cost of 3. Since tireless caused you to regen 1pt per sprint cycle, the apparent cost was only 2, resulting in 50s sprint duration for 100 endo.

Longwind1+redux had the same effect. Endo held at 97, and for the full test gave 50s of sprinting for no benefit compared to LW0.

After 1.87
LW0+endredux=endo holds at 97. Since endo regens at 1pt natural+1pt tireless, apparent effect is 1pt endo used, or 100s sprinting.

Change it to LW1 and it changes from pre 1.87.
LW1+redux=endo holds at 98! With tireless+natural, you can permasprint.

LW2 and it still holds at 98

LW3 and it holds at 99

LW4, still 99

Mythic changed the math somehow. Point is, I'll be picking up LW1. With an endo mythrian on live (don't have it on pend), I wouldn't need it to permasprint out of combat, but when I'm sprinting+styling+twisting, I need all the endo I can get.

Tombo, aren't you 38nurt? or did you check on a different warden? I only checked L41 red redux (I was actually on pend messing with aotg3, this discovery was an accident)

Wait are you saying LW1 + red redux = perma sprint again? Because it did not for like a week or two and I specced out of LW1 because of it.

I have 3 RA points sitting at the moment, maybe I need to pick it back up and test again.

Btw, I laughed my butt off when you said you run into a wall. I did that at Ligen the 1st time I tested and people were sending me tells asking if was "afk?" or "are you alright buddy?". Hahaha. So the next time I did it in the privacy of my house so people dun think I am a spaz. Surprised

Just picked it up on Live (ding 9L6), and its perma (without endo mythrian)

it appears that some people were having issues with LW1 and permasprint (red redux). A friend just got the same problem on live, so I hopped over to pend to play with this...

My results so far. Need more testing to see if I can find a way to fix it without burning a respec.

When I logged into Pend I had 45n and LW4. Obvious permasprint.

Respec realm cancel buffs, logout, login, put up end redux buff, buy LW1. Permasprint still.

Respec realm, drop my redux buff, logout, login, buy LW1, then put up redux. Permasprint.

Respec all, respec realm, drop redux, logout, login. Retrain nurt. Cast redux, buy LW1. I LOST permasprint. Lose 1 endo per tick.

Respec realm. Cancel endredux. Logout, Login. Buy LW1, cast redux. Still no permasprint.

Respec all, respec RA, drop end redux. Logout, Login. Retrain Cast redux. Buy LW1. Permasprint is back. THE EXACT SAME SEQUENCE that caused me to lose it gave it back.

My brain hurts, I'll try some more combos tomorrow.
