since the patch I have noticed that I do not block arrows...i.e. none at all...I have been scrolling back when I die looking at the combat log and seeing how I hit with what...and how I was hit with what. And I have noticed that through that I have not blocked a single arrow. I know that if it comes from the back 180 I will not block but FACING 3 scouts that are rapid firing me and not a single block. (20 shots or so to kill me) Currently I am specced 42shield(+9) 38nurture 33reg 29blades(+15) 7parry or something like that so I have 51 adjusted shield and 300dex but logic and my experiences with my hero show I should hardly be getting touched. My Firby 240dex hero blocks arrows coming from almost anywhere except directly behind. Seeing as how I solo 90% of the time this is something I find very disturbing. Anyone else have any experience with this or able to shed some light onto the situation?

Edit1 : biggest thing I could think of is between medium and large shield but my hero uses a small shield and a large shield with the same effect.

can this be a string of "bad luck on the rolls" for this poster, and not a bug? because my celt warden seems to be blocking arrows (and everything else) just great, and she's only 19 in sheild...

42 shield on my warden and I do just fine blocking. Even guard does great for me. Sounds like a bad string of luck or something to me too.

I have had no problems blocking with my hubcap.

something to do with the number of attackers perhaps?

Know it may seem like a dead issue, but just recently I noticed since I started using the Dragonslayer rewarded shield, which stats that it is a large shield, I can't even block from a single archer. First time I died I did to 3 scouts. I thought maybe it was because of the numbers and didn't think much of it. Next run out of Crauch as I stopped short of bridge, I got attacked by ONE, just ONE hunter and he proceeded to just kick my butt, never even got close to him. Not one of his arrows was blocked. I don't know if its something wrong with the Dragonslayer shield or bug'd some other way. I am even 42 spec'd, I should be able to block a few of them, enough for pbt to get back up at least.

Come to think of it, I think I will get a player made large shield and see what happens.

Im right there with yah on this one Spar. I too have been seeing a defference on my ability to block arrows with the new large shield from the dragonslayer quests. I'm tempted to go back to my Door shield instead.
